Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins looks set to leave the club after agreeing terms with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Watkins was left out of Aston Villa's squad for their opening Premier League game of the season away at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that there is an expectation from Al-Hilal that they will conclude a deal for a player who is happy to leave Villa Park before the transfer window shuts.
In a post on his official X account, Romano stated: "Ollie Watkins, out of Aston Villa squad today as talks are underway with Al Hilal."
"Al Hilal will bid again and confident to get the deal done as Watkins has agreed on personal terms with the Saudi side."
It is believed that Al-Hilal are also working on a deal to sign Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, but the move to secure Watkins' signature is closer at this stage.
It has been a summer of turmoil at Villa Park since the club lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy in May.
The likes of Morgan Rogers and Youri Tielemans have already moved on and the departure of Watkins would leave another big hole to fill.
Unai Emery will want a replacement signed in the event that Watkins leaves and Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is a player who has been linked with a move.
Jackson is said to be free to leave Stamford Bridge but a fee in the region of £65 million could be required to complete a deal.
