Oleksandr Usyk has been installed as odds-on favourite to reign supreme again in his heavyweight rematch against Tyson Fury on 21st December 2024 in Saudi Arabia.

Ukrainian icon Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 when overcoming Fury via split decision following a pulsating fight during Riyadh season on 18th May 2024.
The former Olympic Gold medallist delivered a spectacular performance to break down the 'Gypsy King', with the Brit unable to thwart his Ukrainian adversary's relentless front-foot pressure and staggering stamina.
37-year-old Usyk was close to securing a ninth-round stoppage in the initial bout, with Fury kept on his feet only by the ropes as referee Mark Nelson gave the former WBC champion a standing eight count.
It is currently unclear whether or not the December rematch between Usyk and Fury will again be for undisputed status, with the Ukrainian southpaw expected to be forced to vacate his IBF title.
Regardless of the destination of the IBF strap, the December rematch between Usyk and Fury will once again represent one of the biggest international sporting events of the calendar year, with the Ukrainian likely to be confident of a repeated success and the Brit hungry for a different outcome.
