Oleksandr Usyk has revealed that he is not interested in fighting Fabio Wardley.
The heavyweight king vacated his WBO heavyweight title last month, with Wardley subsequently becoming just the 11th Briton ever to win a world heavyweight title.
Wardley had claimed the sanctioning body's interim belt after a dramatic knockout of top contender Joseph Parker in October.
Usyk's decision to vacate the belt was met with surprise in the boxing world, with many questioning why he would relinquish his undisputed status after claiming all four major belts for a second time.
However, the Ukrainian has since revealed that he elected to give up the title as he does not see the undefeated Wardley as an interesting opponent.
"Listen, this is sport and business," Usyk told Boxing King Media.
"If Parker won for me it would be interesting. Wardley winning for me was not interesting. Okay, I give him the belt.
"Maybe later we will fight together but [for now] it's only in my mind."
While there have been some speculation that Usyk could look to hang up his gloves in the near future, the 38-year-old insisted he still has multiple fights left before he calls time on his career.
Asked for his future plans, Usyk surprisingly revealed that he is targeting a showdown with former heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder.
"I want a fight with Deontay Wilder." He continued.
"For me I think it's interesting. This is a world champion, a famous guy and a very strong guy. He's one of the great heavyweights of the last ten years."
Wilder's last fight came in June, as he secured his first win since 2022 by stopping journeyman Tyrell Anthony Herndon in Wichita, Kansas.
