View the latest betting odds for Sydney Roosters v Newcastle Knights in the 2026 NRL Grand Final
Sydney Roosters have been installed as favourites for the tie at 1.41, with the Knights coming in at 2.75 pre-match.
This comes as no surprise, with the Roosters being the stronger side over the course of the regular season. They boast a 16-8 record and fourth-placed finish compared to Newcastle's 14-10, seventh-place campaign.
Justin Holbrook's men have reached the final the hard way, not only were they last season's wooden spoon winners, nobody has won from seventh in the NRL before.
Their route through the playoffs has consisted of three hard fought away victories, 20-10 vs the Rabbitohs, 12-10 over the Warriors and an unbelievable effort in a 22-14 victory over regular season champions the Panthers -- where they were reduced to 12 men for the final 44 minutes of the game.
On one hand they may have had the life drained from them in three consecutive enemy cauldrons, on the other though, the more likely outcome is them feeling unbeatable and having an extra bit of fight to take the game to Sydney.
Trent Robinson's men have coasted to the final in comparison and have an extra day's rest.
It is their 13th finals campaign in 14 years and they stand across from their opponents on Sunday knowing they have beaten Newcastle in their last six clashes, and 20 of the last 23.
Sydney halfback Sam Walker is the frontrunner for the Clive Churchill Medal at a price of 4.50, followed by Newcastle fullback Kalyn Ponga (6.50) and his Roosters counterpart James Tedesco (7.50).
Keep an eye on Daly Cherry-Evans at 8.50 though, as this will be his final NRL game before a move to Hull FC in the Super League. He is hoping to lift a second NRL title FIFTEEN years after his maiden win.
