Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the 2024 French Open after sustaining a knee injury.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion was scheduled to face Casper Ruud in the quarter-finals in Paris. Djokovic's withdrawal means Ruud will now advance to the final four.

Norweigian Ruud, who has suffered final heartache in the previous two French Opens, will face one of either Alexander Zverev or Alex De Minaur for a place in the final on Sunday 9th June.
