League Two promotion hopefuls Notts County will be keen to extend their unbeaten record when they play host to struggling Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
The Magpies have won two and drawn two of their opening four league encounters, whilst Accrington on the other hand are perched third from bottom having claimed just two points from their quartet of fixtures.
County kicked the campaign off with successive draws with Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town but have started to flex their fourth-tier muscle since, registering back-to-back successes over Grimsby Town and Swindon Town to edge themselves into the play-off positions.
Notts County v Accrington Stanley is available to watch live in the UK and will be broadcast on Sky Sports+.
Notts County v Accrington Stanley will be played at Meadow Lane in Nottingham and kick-off is at 15:00 (GMT) on Saturday 7th September 2024.
Saturday's encounter in Nottingham couldn't be more delicately balanced, at least from a historical perspective anyway.
Both sides have registered seven victories in the 21 all-time meetings, with the other seven encounters ending in stalemate.
The hosts will take to the turf as the odds-on favourites to chalk up a third straight league success, but it's worth noting that they have won just two if the last eight home encounters with the Accrington.
One of those victories came almost a year ago to the day as a Macaulay Langstaff brace together with a Dan Crowley effort secured a 3-1 League Two win at Meadow Lane.
