The sole remaining unbeaten side in the division, Notts County demonstrated their ability to react to adversity by overcoming a two-goal deficit to win 4-2 away at Bromley.
Bolstered by the returning Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley, the influential duo were heavily involved in orchestrating the Magpies' comeback, with Jones netting twice and Crowley scoring one before creating another.
The victory was also indicative of County's strength in depth, with the clinical Alassana Jatta making an impact from the substitutes' bench and taking his tally of goals to eight in 14 League Two appearances since a January switch from Danish outfit Viborg.
Stuart Maynard's side required neither Jones or Crowley in the previous week against Accrington Stanley, with veteran forward David McGoldrick chalking up a brace in a routine success.
Following a difficult start to his tenure at Meadow Lane, Maynard appeared to have an unearthed a match-winning formula towards the end of the previous season and the former Wealdstone manager will have cherished the opportunity to thoroughly implement his ideas in pre-season.
The underlying data supports their assertive start, ranking top for xG while dominating the possession charts, and Notts County appear a potent force with a return of 14 goals from their opening six league fixtures.
Tougher assignments are ahead, including their next fixture against promotion contenders Gillingham, but the early signs suggest Notts County will be vying for a promotion berth in the latter stages of the campaign.
