Norwich City will be looking to stop the rot of four straight defeats in all competitions when they host Southampton at Carrow Road.
The Canaries were earmaked as promotion dark horses ahead of the Championship season, but Philippe Clement's side have suffered six defeats from their opening nine matches in a significantly underwhelming start to the campaign.
One of the many beauties of the Championship is that the relentless schedule can provide immediate opportunities to bounce back, but the visit of Southampton is not a comforting matchup by any stretch of the imagination.
Tonda Eckert's side extinguished their minus points tally inside the opening three matches and the Saints are in excellent goalscoring form, netting in every fixture so far.
Victory over local rivals Portsmouth on Sunday was their third in four matches and a win this evening would hoist Southampton into the top six.
Clement has decided to make three alterations from the starting XI that was beaten 2-1 by table-topping Swansea City at the weekend.
Vladan Kovacevic misses out through concussion as Daniel Grimshaw steps up between the sticks.
Ben Chrisene returns at left-back in place of Darlin Yongwa, while Anis Ben Slimane slots into the attacking trio behind Mathias Kvistgaarden as Paris Maghoma drops to the bench.
Eckert has made four changes from the side that defeated Portsmouth, one of which is enforced after Cameron Bragg saw red in the South Coast derby.
He is replaced by Kuryu Matsuki in central midfield, while Lewis Dobbin and Samuel Edozie replace Cyle Larin and Leo Scienza.
Zach Abbott slots into defence in place of Sunday's goalscorer James Bree.
