The New York Jets had high hopes for this season but they have been unceremoniously dashed as the team have limped to a 3-7 record, sacked head coach Robert Saleh mid-season and look set to miss out on the play-offs once again. They will try and turn things around when they host the Indianapolis Colts.

The Indianapolis Colts come into this clash on the back of three straight defeats and have announced that second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson will be returning under centre after the team went 0-2 with Joe Flacco at the helm for the last two weeks.

They are 4-6 and need a win to keep their slim play-off chances alive.

The New York Jets’ passing defence has been their biggest strength in recent seasons but this season they have struggled to stop the run.

Only the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys have allowed more rushing touchdowns so far and they also rank in the top six for most rushing yards allowed, 1,340.

They have been dealing with a big blow on that front with the absence of C.J Mosley in recent weeks and their star linebacker is questionable to return for this clash with a neck injury.

With their issues at quarterback, expect the Colts to lean heavily on their running game, and Jonathan Taylor looks likely to be the biggest beneficiary of that.

He managed 21 carries for 114 yards in their 30-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills last time out and that is a nice foundation from which to build for this matchup.

Against a team that have struggled to stop the run all season, side with Taylor to cross the plane for the sixth time this year. 

Aaron Rodgers to throw over 0.5 interceptions - 1/1

The New York Jets have struggled to run the ball all season, with only five teams having rushed for fewer yards, and that means that a lot of pressure has been placed on the success of Aaron Rodgers and the Jets passing game.

The veteran has failed to impress in those circumstances and is coming off another disappointing performance last week in his team’s 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in which he threw for 151 yards and no touchdowns.

He has thrown for seven interceptions this season and could add to that tally against a Colts defence that has managed eight picks this term.

With the pressure on, Rodgers may be forced into a mistake once again.

With both teams struggling badly to get points on the board, siding with the under looks like the sensible play.

The Colts' last three road games have gone under the total and this may be a real grind at MetLife Stadium.

Expect plenty of field goals and not much scoring, stick with the under.
