Detroit Lions v Chicago Bears: Prediction, Tips and Odds

The Detroit Lions will look to secure their 10th win in succession when they host NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears, on Thursday.

The two teams will clash at Ford Field in the first of three games on Thanksgiving Day and the hosts are the overwhelming favourites to win.

Dan Campbell's team have won nine games in a row and are 10-1 for the season, with the Kansas City Chiefs the only other team with that record.

While everything is clicking into place for the Lions, the Chicago Bears have lost five in a row and time is running out if they want to make the playoffs.

Detroit Lions v Chicago Bears prop bets - tips and predictions

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 74.5 Rushing Yards - 10/11

The Lions have dominated the NFC this season and they look destined for the NFC Championship game if they can maintain their current form.

Campbell has had to adjust his roster on several occasions, with injuries to key players causing havoc across the campaign.

Thankfully for the Lions, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery have stayed healthy for the most part and the former is one of the best in the NFL at present.

Detroit's 150.8 rushing yards per game is the fourth-best record in the NFL, and Gibbs has the fourth-most rushing yards this season with 886.

The 22-year-old has averaged 5.8 yards per carry this season and has already scored 10 touchdowns. After a slow start in the first game of the campaign against the Los Angeles Rams, where he collected just 40 rushing yards, Gibbs has since picked up at least 63 yards per game.

Gibbs and Montgomery share the workload, but Gibbs has had at least 11 carries in every game this season, so he should be able to cover his line this week.

Caleb Williams Over 229.5 Passing Yards - 20/23

Things have not gone to plan for rookie Williams this season, but the Bears have improved offensively in the last two weeks.

Chicago fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and replaced him with Thomas Brown, and that decision has brought the best out of Williams.

He has averaged 285.5 yards in the two games that Brown has called the plays, and while the Bears should fall short on Thursday, Williams should at least be able to show on the big stage that he has a big future in this league.

The Bears have certainly improved on offence since the hiring of Brown, but they have still been unable to turn those improved performances into wins.

Chicago's five defeats in succession suggest they are still a year or two away from being a competitive playoff team, while the Lions look a class above everyone else in the NFC.

Campbell's team have not lost since Week 2, and they have won by an average of 19.3 points per game during their nine-game win streak.

They average 32.7 points per game this season, the highest in the NFL, and the Bears will do well to keep this contest competitive this week.
