Cleveland Browns v Pittsburgh Steelers: Prediction, Tips and Odds

The Pittsburgh Steelers will aim to strengthen their grip on the AFC North when they take on divisional rivals the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on Friday.

Mike Tomlin's men have once again punched above their weight to sit above the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, while it is the Browns that have struggled in 2024.

Cleveland Browns v Pittsburgh Steelers prop bets - tips and predictions

George Pickens Over 55.5 Receiving Yards - 10/11

Cleveland's recent success has been built on a resolute defence but they have taken a step back in that regard this season and have allowed 24.8 points per game, the ninth-worst total in the NFL.

The Browns' secondary has struggled in coverage with Martin Emerson Jr., Greg Newsome II and Denzel Ward all unable to post respectable numbers.

That should be a worry for head coach Kevin Stefanski ahead of a matchup against Pittsburgh's star receiver George Pickens, who has been moved around the offensive line pre-snap to try and confuse defenders and he should be able to break free and rack up the yards here.

The 23-year-old has 728 receiving yards this term, the fourth-most in the NFL behind Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and CeeDee Lamb. He has caught 48 of his 77 targets and should be able to give the Browns' defence some problems this week.

Najee Harris Over 66.5 Rushing Yards - 10/11

While Cleveland have been defensively poor this season, it is their rush defence that has been their main Achilles heel.

The Browns have conceded 131.7 rushing yards per game this season, and Steelers ace Najee Harris should be able to capitalise.

Harris averages four yards per carry this season and has recorded 708 rushing yards in 10 outings.

He has rushed for over 60 yards in four of his last five outings and Tomlin will look to build a platform on the ground.

Cleveland Browns v Pittsburgh Steelers spread pick: Steelers -3.5 - 10/11

The Steelers come into this game on the back of an 18-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens, arguably their best result of the season.

While Pittsburgh's offence struggled against the Ravens, their defence held firm and they should have no problems doing the same against a Browns team that will be led by backup quarterback Jameis Winston.

Pittsburgh will come into this game with plenty of belief and they face a Browns team that lost 35-14 to the New Orleans Saints last week and are just playing for pride at this point.

Cleveland allowed 8.2 yards per play against the Saints and if they fail to improve on that, Friday's game could get ugly.

Pittsburgh should probably be stronger favourites on the handicap and there's plenty of value in backing them to cover the -3.5 mark.

While both teams will show signs of fatigue after a short week, the Steelers had their Bye in Week 9, so they should be well prepared as they look to improve their record to 9-2.
