Following the announcement that Gary Lineker would step down as presenter of Match of the Day at the end of the season, we've looked at the frontrunners for his successor.

Mark Chapman and Alex Scott are both prominent in the betting having presented football programmes for the BBC.

Chapman has spent nearly 30 years with the BBC, working on rugby league, American football as well as presenting Football Focus and Match of the Day 2, while Scott has featured on a number of channels as a pundit covering football and took over from Dan Walker as presenter of Football Focus in 2021,

Longtime BBC sports presenter Gabby Logan is also in the betting, ahead of Sky Sports' Kelly Cates and David Jones.
