Following the election of Kemi Badenoch as the new Conservative Party leader, we've taken a look at the odds for her successor.
Badenoch has made a number of controversial comments over the last few months, while a 2018 clip of her admitting she hacked into Harriet Harman's website a decade earlier recently resurfaced.
With nearly five years of the current parliament still to run, there's a chance that Badenoch doesn't see the next general election, and prominent MPs may already be readying themselves for a future leadership bid.
James Cleverly was expect to win the leadership election, with his supporters lending their votes to Robert Jenrick and Badenoch, only to find himself eliminated in a remarkable strategic blunder thought to have cost him the leadership. Nevertheless, his standing amongst Conservative MPs and members remains strong, and is the early favourite to be the next party leader.
Jenrick is second favourite having made it to the final two last time around, while Nigel Farage is third favourite. Should polling be unfavourable over the next few years, Conservative MPs may look to oust their leader; millions of votes were lost to Farage's Reform UK party, and while the party's politics may not sit well with more moderate Conservatives, perhaps the quickest way of winning those votes back is by installing Farage as leader.
