Tom Latham will skipper New Zealand during their tours of Ireland and England this summer.
The Black Caps have announced a 19-man squad for the dual tour that involves a one-off game against Ireland followed up with a three-match Test series against England that begins at Lord's on 4th June.
Fast bowling duo Kyle Jamieson and Will O'Rourke both return to the squad, however, Jacob Duffy, who in 2025 broke the record for the most wickets across all formats in a calendar for New Zealand, will remain at home while he awaits the birth of his first child.
Kane Williamson, who six months ago stated that he will evaluate his future on a series-by-series basis, has been included in the squad and is just 539 runs shy of becoming the first Kiwi batter to reach 10,000 Test runs.
The 35-year-old is currently working with the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL as a strategic advisor.
In addition to Jamieson and O'Rourke, New Zealand have plenty of seam options to deploy with Matt Henry, Zak Foulkes, Nathan Smith, Blair Tickner, Ben Sears, Michael Rae and Kristian Clarke all included in the 19.
Coach Rob Walter says that 6"8' seamer Jamieson is "fit and strong" after a two-year absence from the Test game since suffering a stress fracture in 2024.
"It's a great privilege to start this next period of sustained red-ball cricket with all our pace bowlers ready to go," Walter said.
"Kyle's been on a journey of getting his body ready for Test cricket. He's really fit and strong at the moment and will bring a unique edge to our bowling line-up."
New Zealand's summer kicks off with a four-day match against Ireland in Belfast before heading to England for three Tests at Lord's, The Oval and Trent Bridge.
