The Oklahoma CIty Thunder are the only one side in the Western Conference to have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, winning all three of their matches to pick up exactly where they left off after topping the West last term.
OKC have won each of their games by at least 15 points and are looking like real title contenders.
The Spurs, in contrast, have won one and lost two of their opening three games, being defeated by Texas rivals Dallas and Houston.
One positive for San Antonio is that their star man, Victor Wembanyama, has started the campaign strongly, averaging 20 points, 12 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in the opening three games of the season.
OKC will be without regular centre Isaiah Hartenstein for this clash and they are also missing a few of their rotation players too.
Kenrich and Jaylin Williams are out until next month while Nikola Topic is a longer-term absentee as he is expected to be out for the season.
The Spurs are also missing a starter in Devin Vassell, who should return early next month, while fellow guard Tre Jones is also ruled out, leaving San Antonio a bit short in the backcourt.
