NBA Fantasy Basketball involves drafting real NBA players to a virtual team, accumulating points based on their live, in-game stats throughout the season.
Available online and via the NBA official app, Fantasy Basketball will run throughout the entirety of the regular season.
Your Initial Roster
Select a roster of 10 players, consisting of 5 back court players and 5 front court players.
The total value of your roster cannot exceed the salary cap of $100m.
You can select up to two players from a single NBA team.
Managing Your Team
Select five players by the Gameday deadline to form your starting line-up.
Your team can play in one of two formations: two backcourt and three front court OR three back court and two front court.
If any of your players don't play in the Gameday, they will be substituted by the highest priority bench player who played in the Gameday and doesn't break the formation rules.
Transfers
After your first deadline you will receive two free transactions each Gameweek.
Each additional transaction you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 100 points from your total score at the next deadline.
Player salaries change during the season depending on the popularity of the player in the transfers tab.
You can see a player's selling salary on the transaction page, however, a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest $0.1m) will be applied on any profits made on that player.
Chips
Gameday Captain | Pick a captain to double their score (one Gameday each Gameweek). |
All-Star | Make unlimited free transfers with an unlimited budget for a single Gameday, at the next deadline your squad will return to how it was at the start of the Gameday (once a season). |
Wildcard | All transfers, including those already made in that Gameday, are free for the next Gameday (three times in a season). |
Only one chip may be active in a Gameday.
Deadlines
The game is split into Gameweeks and Gamedays.
You must set your starting line-up for each Gameday prior to each Gameday deadline.
The Gameweek deadline is the first Gameday deadline of that week, this is used to determine the number of free transactions you can use in the Gameweek.
Scoring
During the season, your NBA fantasy players will be allocated points based on their performance in the league.

Leagues
After entering your roster, you can join and create leagues to compete with friends and other players from around the world.
Private Leagues | Private leagues allow you to compete against your friends, create a league and then send out the unique code to allow your friends to join. |
Public Leagues | You can also join a public league of randomly assigned teams, if you fancy an extra challenge. |
Global Leagues | Everyone is automatically entered into multiple global leagues, such as a league for fans of your favourite NBA team. |
All leagues score on a classic basis, meaning teams are ranked based on their total points in the game.
In the event of a tie between teams, the team who has made the fewest transfers will be positioned higher.
