2024/25 Nations League group stage top scorers

The Nations League has provided us with some thrilling contests in the group stage, and with it we have seen a number of players step up for their nation in front of goal.

Here we look at the top 10 goalscorers in the 2024/25 Nations League group stage.

• Harry Wilson - 4 goals (Wales)

Wales' Harry Wilson has been in the thick of the action for both club and country, scoring three goals in two games before the international break for Fulham.

He carried his fine form into the break, netting against Iceland in a 4-1 win, taking his tally in the group stage to four goals.

• David Strelec - 4 goals (Slovakia)

Slovakia had already guaranteed a spot in the top two going in to their final group stage game against Estonia, meaning their top goalscorer David Strelec was rested.

He did, however, make an appearance off the bench, in which he was able to find the net in the 72nd minute, scoring the only goal of the game and earning Slovakia three points. Like Wilson, this was his fourth goal of the campaign.

• Isaac Price - 4 goals (Northern Ireland)

Standard Liege's Isaac Price has enjoyed a productive spell in the Northern Ireland setup in the Nations League.

The attacking midfielder went three games without finding the net for his nation, but managed to score a hat-trick in a 5-0 win against Bulgaria, kickstarting his international career. Most recently, he scored the opener in a 2-2 draw with Luxembourg.

• Alexander Isak - 4 goals (Sweden)

Sweden are spoilt for choice in the centre forward department as they are blessed with both Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres at their disposal.

While Isak hasn't managed to find the net as frequently as his partner Gyokeres for his country, he has still registered four goals. He will feel he should have had more though, missing a penalty and having a goal wrongly disallowed in their last group stage outing against Azerbaijan.

• Kerem Akturkoglu - 4 goals (Turkey)

Turkey, who finished just a point off Wales in their Nations League section, looked to Kerem Akturkoglu in the group stage as their main source of goals.

Like Isaac Price, Kerem Akturkoglu scored three of his goals in one game, netting a hat-trick in a 3-1 win against Iceland. He added to his tally in the return fixture against Iceland.

• Benjamin Sesko - 5 goals (Slovenia)

While Slovenia struggled in the group stage, RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko showed why he is regarded as such an exciting prospect.

Of the seven goals Slovenia scored, Sesko bagged five of them, demonstrating his importance to his national team.

• Cristiano Ronaldo - 5 goals (Portugal)

Cristiano Ronaldo was once again out to prove that age is just a number, as the 39-year-old finds himself on yet another goalscoring list.

Portugal eased through the group, winning four and drawing two, and Ronaldo was at his best when facing Poland. He scored three goals over the two games against them, also finding the net against Croatia and Scotland.

• Razvan Marin - 6 goals (Romania)

Like Portugal, Romania comfortably finished top of their Nations League group, winning all six games.

Razvan Marin found the net six times, including two against Cyprus in their last group stage game.

• Erling Haaland - 7 goals (Norway)

It is no surprise to see the Norwegian number nine on this list, having scored seven goals across his country's six Nations League games.

Norway topped their group on 13 points, with Haaland scoring a little under half of their goals.

• Viktor Gyokeres - 9 goals (Sweden)

Isak's partner in crime, Viktor Gyokeres, has scored an incredible nine goals for Sweden in this campaign's group stage.

Before the meeting with Azerbaijan, he found himself level on goals with Sesko and Ronaldo, but four goals in the most recent fixture against Azerbaijan means he tops the list.
