South Shields and Kidderminster Harriers clash in the National League North playoff final.
Finishing second and third in the league respectively, both sides guaranteed themselves a spot in the playoff semi-finals whilst teams finishing fourth to seventh had to battle it out in a quarter-final round.
However, their quality ultimately shone through with South Shields getting the better of Buxton and Kidderminster breezing past Macclesfield.
Courtesy of their higher league finishing position, it is South Shields who have the honour of hosting the Promotion Final.
Although they are faced with a near eight-and-a-half-hour round trip up north, Kiddy will be full of confidence following a stellar run of seven consecutive victories.
Their last in the league, a 1-0 success over Saturday's opponents, just might give them the upper hand heading into the weekend's all-important clash. Adam Murray's men will not rest on the laurels though, given that South Shields finished some eight points ahead of them across the 46-game league campaign.
Points dropped late on against Bedford, Darlington and Spennymoor proved costly in attempt to ensure automatic promotion, eventually won by Fylde.
Boss Ian Watson will have been pleased with his side's display against Buxton with Paul Blackett's penalty securing a 1-0 victory in the semi-final.
