Everything you need to know as undisputed super-bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue gets set to make his return against South Korean challenger Ye Joon Kim in a hugely-anticipated showdown on Friday 24th January, 2025.
Naoya Inoue v Ye Joon Kim is scheduled to take place on Friday 24th January, 2025.
Inoue was originally scheduled to take on Sam Goodman, but the fight has now had to be cancelled on two occasions.
Firstly, the bout was set to be staged on Christmas Eve before it was rearranged just a week out from the fight due to a minor injury picked up by the Australian challenger, before the January date was also put on ice after Goodman suffered another injury blow in training.
The undisputed super-bantamweight championship showdown between Naoya Inoue and Ye Joon Kim is scheduled to get underway at 12:00 (GMT).
The full fight card, including Naoya Inoue v Ye Joon Kim, will take place at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
Naoya Inoue v Ye Joon Kim will be shown live on SKy Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena to customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
All four of Naoya Inoue's super-bantamweight straps (WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine) will be on the line in Tokyo, Japan.
Despite Ye Joon Kim not being ranked higher than 11th by any of the four officially recognised governing bodies, all four have sanctioned the fight for the world title.
