As we approach another new IPL season, Mumbai Indians have been priced up as the 4/1 favourites to lift the trophy for a record sixth time in 2024.
The Mumbai outfit last tasted success back in the 2020 season, when they defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final.
Coached by former South Africa wicket-keeper Mark Boucher, Mumbai Indians are highly-fancied to become the most successful team in IPL history this time around.
The biggest change ahead of their 2024 title charge is the captaincy, where the returning Hardik Pandya will take over from Test skipper Rohit Sharma.
Pandya is a proven operator with bat and ball and he returns to Mumbai following a two-year stint with Gujarat Titans, who were victorious in 2022 and lost in last year's final to Chennai Super Kings.

Alongside Sharma and Pandya, Mumbai Indians also have overseas duo Tim David and Dewald Brevis in their batting ranks, along with the dangerous Suryakumar Yadav who scored 605 runs last season at an incredible strike rate of 181.13.
Wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan has also been retained, as have world-class pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah, leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and Australian left-armer Jason Behrendorff, with the trio providing the core of a high-quality and varied collection of bowlers.
Romario Shepherd has been drafted in for another stab at IPL cricket after a previous spell with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022, while the acquisitions of South Africa fast bowler Gerald Coetzee and the tricky Sri Lanka swing bowler Dilshan Madushanka provide even more options with the ball.
Veteran Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi will provide some firepower in the middle order, while 21-year-old Indian protegee Tilak Varma will be keen to have a strong campaign in order to cement his place as a regular in India's limited overs teams.
