The 11th round of the MotoGP season takes place at the Red Bull Ring, and the striking hills of Spielberg are the perfect backdrop for the dramatic World Championship battle that will continue into the Austrian Grand Prix.
Enea Bastianini's win in Great Britain has thrust him into the title fight, as he finds himself just 49 points away from Jorge Martin at the top of the Championship standings.
Meanwhile, at the top, Jorge Martin leapfrogged 2023 championship winner Francesco Bagnaia with a second placed finish at Silverstone.
Pecco ensured he didn't lose too much ground in the fight however, bringing his Ducati home in third ahead of the iconic Marc Marquez, who is still lurking ominously in fourth, 62 points off his compatriot Martin at the summit.

The rider with the most MotoGP classification wins of the Austrian Grand Prix is Andrea Dovizioso, who has three wins in 2017, 2019 and 2020. Fellow Italian Francesco Bagnaia could equal that tally by winning the race for a third consecutive year this weekend in Spielberg.
Ducati are the most successful team in the history of the Austrian Grand Prix, with nine wins of the race, all of them coming since 2016, a run they have a great chance of extending this time out.
In its current motorcycle format, the Red Bull Ring has a lap length of 4.348km (2.702 mi), the lap includes 10 turns.
The lap record of the Red Bull Ring's motorcycle circuit is held by Francesco Bagnaia, who set a time of 1:29.840 on his Ducati Desmodici GP23 at last year's race.
Andrea Dovizioso holds the lap record for MotoGP on the Grand Prix circuit, with a time of 1:23.827 at the 2019 Austrian Grand Prix, before the motorcycle circuit was created.

The track temperature is expected to fluctuate dramatically throughout the weekend, due to the high air temperatures and low cloud coverage heating the circuit up, and the likelihood of rain cooling it down considerably. Therefore the prediction is that, at any time this weekend, the track could sit anywhere between 15°C (59°F) and 35°C (95°F).
