MotoGP riders, teams and fans make their way to Spielberg this weekend for the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix.
The title fight is shaping up to be a blockbuster, with Spaniards Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin tied on points at the top.
The timeless Marquez has won four of the last six races, including last time out at Misano. The form he is in makes it hard to see past him picking up a record eighth MotoGP world title.
Jorge Martin still has just one win to his name, the majority of his points have come from strong sprint races and plenty of podium finishes -- if he can start converting these into race wins then there is no reason he can take charge of the championship once again.
Don't count out Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Pedro Acosta and Ai Ogura either, the only other four drivers to have breached the 200 point mark this season; they are certainly still within touching distance with eight weekends to go.

A staple of a MotoGP weekend, the sprint at the Red Bull Ring will begin at 14:00 (BST) on Saturday 19th September, which is 15:00 in local time.

The weather at the Red Bull Ring this weekend is looking like a mixed bag at the moment.
Rain is forecast for Friday, with highs of 18°C, though that should pass in time for Saturday's action, with sunny spells expected and a high of 21°C.
Sunday is predicted to be the hottest of the three days at 23°C, though it will be cloudy and overcast all day. There is only a very low chance of rain impacting the race.
