Motherwell and Dundee United will vie for a place in the Hampden Scottish League Cup semi-finals when they lock horns in the last eight at Fir Park.
Both sides have made commendable starts to their respective campaigns, with Motherwell sat in fifth place in the Scottish Premiership with seven points from their opening five league matches, with their upcoming opponents United one point and one place better off.
Motherwell have won Scottish League Cup title once before, back in 1950, with Dundee United two-time winners in 1980 and 1981.

Motherwell and Dundee United last competed in the Scottish Premiership together in 2022/23, with one win for each team and one draw across three meetings.
The two sides last met in the Scottish League Cup at the same quarter-finals stage in October 2010, with Alan Gow netting a late winner for the Steelmen in a 1-0 triumph at Fir Park.

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell is expected to be without Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, Callum Slattery, Filip Stuparevic, Johnny Koutroumbis, Sam Nicholson and Shane Blaney for the visit of Dundee United.
Canada international Harry Paton is also ruled out due to an ankle injury.
Australian wing-back Ryan Strain (hamstring) is Dundee United's only injury absentee for the trip to Motherwell.
