Hitting a maximum score off three darts is a talent in itself, let alone hitting nine perfect darts on the biggest stage.
We take a look at the players that have recorded the most televised nine-dart legs in history.
Player | Nine-darters |
Phil Taylor | 11 |
Michael van Gerwen | 10 |
Raymond van Barneveld | 5 |
Adrian Lewis | 5 |
Gerwyn Price | 5 |
James Wade | 4 |
Gary Anderson | 3 |
Michael Smith | 3 |
Conor Heneghan | 3 |
Phil Taylor leads the way for the most televised nine-dart finishes in history with 11, closely followed by Michael van Gerwen with 10.
'Mighty Mike' will be hoping to take the lead, aged just 35, and, with the 'Power' having already retired, he certainly stands a chance.
Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis and Gerwyn Price are all tied with five nine-darters, with Price scoring the most recent nine-dart leg of anyone on the list against Michael Smith on 4th April 2024.
James Wade's fourth and most recent nine-dart leg came in 2022 against Boris Krcmar, a day in which Michael Smith also landed a nine-darter.
Gary Anderson, Michael Smith and Conor Heneghan have all recorded three televised nine-darters, a tally which doesn't quite summarise the greatness of the 'Flying Scotsman' in particular.
