Most Gold Cup wins at the Cheltenham Festival

We've put together a list of the most successful horses in the history of the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.

Only nine horses have won the Gold Cup on more than one occasion at the Cheltenham Festival, with Golden Miller the only horse to win the famous race five times.

Cottage Rake, Arkle and Best Mate have each won the Gold Cup consecutively on three occasions, while the great Kauto Star is the only horse to regain the Gold Cup.

Easter Hero and L'Escargot have both won the race twice, as have recent winners Al Boum Photo and Galopin Des Champs.
