We've put together a list of the most successful horses in the history of the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.
Only nine horses have won the Gold Cup on more than one occasion, with Golden Miller the only horse to win the famous race five times.
Cottage Rake, Arkle and Best Mate have each won the Gold Cup consecutively on three occasions, while the great Kauto Star is the only horse to regain the Gold Cup.
Easter Hero and L'Escargot have both won the race twice, as have recent winners Al Boum Photo and Galopin Des Champs, with the latter bidding for a hat-trick in 2025
Pat Taaffe, a three-time winner on board Arkle as well as being victorious in 1968 with Fort Leney, is one of only two jockeys to win the Gold Cup four times.
The other is Paul Townend, who has recorded a pair of wins with both Al Boum Photo and Galopin Des Champs.
Taaffe was the jockey for record-breaking trainer Tom Dreaper for each of his victories, with Dreaper also winning with Prince Regent in 1946.
Dorothy Paget is the most successful owner in the history of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, winning the race on seven occasions from 1932 - 1952.
