Most expensive transfers for a player from Colombia

Following Jhon Duran's move to Al Nassr, we take a look at the top 10 most expensive transfers for players from Colombia.

• Jhon Duran (€77.00m)

Jhon Duran's move to Al Nassr in the January transfer window of 2025 made him the most expensive Colombian player of all time, signing for a reported €77.00m.

Enjoying a remarkable breakthrough campaign at Aston Villa, where he would so often make an impact off the bench, Duran will now get the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane for his new club.

• James Rodriguez (€75.00m)

Following his phenomenal 2014 World Cup campaign, a move away from Monaco seemed inevitable for James Rodriguez in the following transfer window.

Having confessed his love and admiration for Real Madrid in a post-match interview just months prior, Los Blancos would sign Rodriguez for €75.00m, making him the fourth-most expensive transfer in the world at the time.

• Luis Diaz (€53.00m)

Liverpool have rarely acted in the January transfer window in recent years, but the prospect of signing of Luis Diaz is one they could not let pass by.

In an attempt to bolster their forward line, the Reds would sign the Colombian left-winger for €53.00m in January 2022.

• Radamel Falcao (€43.00m)

Radamel Falcao's move to Monaco earns him fourth spot on the list, signing for a reported €43.00m fee.

He was part of Monaco's 2016/17 Ligue 1-winning side, consisting of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Fabinho.

• Davinson Sanchez (€42.00m)

Davinson Sanchez's impressive stint at Ajax between 2016 and 2017 alerted the attention of Tottenham, who would pay €42.00m to bring his services to White Hart Lane.

Though Sanchez was unable to taste silverware in his time at Tottenham, he did make 143 Premier League appearances for the club.

• Jackson Martinez (€42.00m)

Jackson Martinez's move to GZ Evergrande for a €42.00m fee was a huge talking point, a record transfer for an Asian team at the time.

Martinez would play just 10 times for the club between 2016 and 2019, before making a move to Portimonense.

• Carlos Bacca (€33.30m)

Carlos Bacca's successful stint at Sevilla from 2013 to 2015, winning the UEFA Europa League on two occasions, earned him a move to AC Milan in the summer of 2015.

He would go on to score 34 times in 77 games for the Italian outfit.

• Juan Cuadrado (€31.00m)

Despite signing for Chelsea for €31.00m, he would play just 14 times for the club, before returning to Italy to make the permanent move to Juventus.

He was, however, part of a Chelsea team that won the Premier League and League Cup in the 2014/14 campaign.

• Jefferson Lerma (€30.50m)

On 7th August 2018, Lerma joined Bournemouth for a club record transfer fee of €30.50m.

He would go on to become a staple in the Bournemouth side, at the heart of the Cherries' midfield in their promotion to the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.

• Yerry Mina (€30.25m)

Yerry Mina's €30.25m move from Barcelona to Everton was eagerly anticipated by Toffees fans at the time, but it's fair to say his five-year spell at the club was turbulent.

Mina would play 99 times for Everton before moving to Fiorentina in 2023.
