Liverpool captain Virgin van Dijk commanded a world record fee for a defender when he left Southampton for £75 million in January 2018.
The Dutch international has gone on to win two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League at Liverpool, becoming one of the greatest defenders to grace the Merseyside club.
Romeo Lavia is the second most expensive player sale from Southampton following his £58 million move to Chelsea in August 2023, while van Dijk's former Liverpool teammate Saido Mane is third on the list after he departed St Mary's for a fee of £34 million.
Full-backs Luke Shaw and Tino Livramento are also high up on the list of the record transfer fees received by Southampton.
Three more former Liverpool players make the top 10 list in the form of Adam Lallana, Danny Ings and Devan Lovren, with midfielders Morgan Schneiderlin and James Ward-Prowse also included.
