Most expensive Crystal Palace signings

We've taken a look at the top 10 most expensive Crystal Palace signings after their FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

Given their relative recent success, it may be a surprise to read that a signing from 2017 tops the list.

Christian Benteke arrived off the back of an underwhelming spell at Liverpool for £26.2m and he struggled to repay the faith scoring just 37 times in 177 matches.

The jury is still out on signing number two, however.

Signed from Arsenal just last season, Eddie Nketiah has struggled to get regular minutes at Selhurst Park but he does have the potential to develop into a regular goalscorer.

In addition to Nketiah, plenty of the signings lower down on the list are involved in the current squad at Palace.

Marc Guehi, Cheick Doucoure, Adam Wharton, Matheus Franca, Maxence Lacroix and Eberechi Eze all have FA Cup medals to show for their exploits this campaign.

Mamadou Sakho and Joachim Andersen are the only remaining players who have been and gone.

Sakho - another signing from Liverpool - initially impressed as a loan acquisition before a move was made permanent the following season.

Fellow central defender Andersen was purchased for £14.75m from Lyon before Palace cashed in, selling him to Fulham for a fee of £24.8m.
