A total of 52 nations have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since its inaugural staging in 1956.
But which countries have featured in the competition on the most occasions?
Well, as of 2025, Germany hold the record for the highest number of appearances having featured in every staging of the event, including the very first seven decades ago!
Their tally of 68 appearances betters that of France and the United Kingdom (67) by one, with Belgium third on the list after entering Eurovision 66 times.
The Netherlands, who have opted to withdraw from this year's event, and Switzerland have featured on 65 occasions, whilst Spain (64), Sweden (64), Norway (63) and Finland (58) also occupy positions inside the top 10 appearance makers.
*Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning the maximum number of appearances stands at 68 (prior to the 2026 event).
