Tottenham and Liverpool will meet in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday night, both given a boost after Arsenal fell to a 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday.
Below, we look at the 10 players with the most combined appearances for the two clubs since 1992.
Spending the 1990s at Anfield with Liverpool, Jamie Redknapp was a League Cup winner in 1995, reaching the FA Cup final in 1996.
A wonderfully gifted midfielder, Redknapp's career was blighted by injuries, eventually spending three seasons at Tottenham from 2002 to 2005.
After breaking through at Coventry, Robbie Keane earnt himself a move to Italy, spending six months at Inter in the absence of the injured Ronaldo where he'd play alongside the likes of Christian Vieri, Alvaro Recoba, Hakan Suker.
A loan move to Leeds became permanent, with Keane then spending six fruitful seasons with Tottenham, where he'd reach double figures for goal in each campaign.
Keane then moved to Anfield in 2008, but his underwhelming spell was cut short after just six months, heading back to Tottenham the following winter.
After keeping his old club Crewe up following a loan spell in the second tier, Danny Murphy established himself as a regular for Liverpool, earning a place in several England squads, only missing out on the 2002 World Cup through injury.
After spending 18 months at Charlton, Murphy moved to Tottenham, but was unable to establish himself as a regular in North London.
After scoring 12 goals in the Premier League for Southampton, Peter Crouch was signed by Liverpool, and though it took what felt like an eternity to get off the mark for his new club, Crouch would be a regular member of the squad that reached the 2007 UEFA Champions League final.
After a year at Portsmouth, Crouch followed old boss Harry Redknapp to Tottenham, helping his new side to a top-four finish and the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
After a brief spell at Tottenham in the 1980s, Neil 'Razor' Ruddock returned to White Hart Lane for the maiden Premier League season, moving to Anfield the following season, where he'd spend the first two seasons as a regular in the Liverpool defence.
Coming through the Tottenham academy, Nick Barmby was a Tottenham regular before his move to Middlesbrough in 1995. After two years in the north east, Barmby moved to Everton, going on to become the first player in more than three decades to move from Everton to Liverpool, where he would win the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup in his first season.
Perhaps best remembered for one of the most infamous misses in Premier League history as anything else, Ronny Rosenthal started his Liverpool career via a loan spell in the 1989/90 season, moving permanently the following term.
Rosenthal spent one full Premier League season with Liverpool before moving to Tottenham in January 1994, where he'd spend three and a half years.
Brought to England from Norway by Wimbledon, Øyvind Leonhardsen was snapped up by Liverpool in 1997, but following the departure of Roy Evans, Leonhardsen fell out of favour at Anfield and was sold to Tottenham in 1999.
Best known as part of Wimbledon's 'Crazy Gang', John Scales moved to Liverpool in 1995 and would win the 1994 League Cup and play in the 1996 FA Cup final.
Scales moved to Tottenham in 1996, but failed to establish himself as a regular member of the side.
Best remembered for his spell with the iconic Blackburn side of the mid-2000s, Brad Friedel first made his name at Liverpool, serving as deputy to David James and Sander Westerveld.
After eight years at Ewood Park, Friedel moved to Aston Villa, and after three years there, moved to Tottenham, where he was first-choice keeper in his first season.
