Most backed horses in the Cheltenham Gold Cup

Back-to-back champion Galopin Des Champs has been backed by 66.8% of bet365 customers to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup for the third year in a row on Friday.

Willie Mullins' superstar is already one of the greatest National Hunt horses in a generation and he could emulate the likes of Arkle and Best Mate by winning three successive Gold Cups this week.

Whilst we have seen some support for other horses in the race, it is clear that bet365 punters are expecting the odds-on favourite to do the business once again.

The Henry De Bromhead-trained Monty's Star is available at a double-figure price but he is the second most popular Gold Cup bet this week.

We have also seen support for second-favourite Banbridge and Grand National favourite Inothewayurthinkin, who was supplemented for the Gold Cup on the eve of the Festival.
