Most appearances with teammate Ronaldinho for AC Milan

We take a look at a list of players who have played alongside Ronaldinho on the most occasions during his spell at AC Milan.

Football

• Andrea Pirlo (72)

Arguably one of the greatest midfielders to grace the Serie A, Andrea Pirlo's longest spell in the division came whilst representing AC Milan between 2001 and 2011.

It wasn't until 2008 that Pirlo and Ronaldinho would share the pitch however, going on to make 72 appearances alongside one another.

• Clarence Seedorf (67)

An industrious midfielder who also possessed immense technical talent, four time UEFA Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf left Inter to join the red and blacks in 2002.

The Dutchman played 67 times with Ronaldinho before the Brazilian joined Flamengo in 2011, a year prior to Seedorf's departure.

• Massimo Ambrosini (66)

It's no surprise to see Massimo Ambrosini make the list given his 18 year spell at the club, joining from Cesena in 1995 and leaving to join Fiorentina in 2013.

66 of Ambrosini's 488 Milan appearances came whilst sharing the field with Ronaldinho.

• Gianluca Zambrotta (64)

Italian international Gianluca Zambrotta spent the best part of four years at Milan, having already represented Italin sides Como, Bari and Juventus.

The versatile full-back played 64 games alongside Ronaldinho.

• Alexandre Pato (56)

Following victory in the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League final, Milan signed Alexandre Pato for €24m.

Fellow Brazilians Pato and Ronaldinho played 56 times together, combining for an impressive 13 goals in this period.

• Mathieu Flamini (56)

Despite being regarded as a utility player for the early stages of his Milan career, injuries to other players meant that Mathieu Flamini was able to cement a starting place in the XI.

Both Flamini and Ronaldinho joined the club in the same 2008 summer transfer window, playing 56 times together.

• Thiago Silva (51)

Debatably one of the greatest defenders of this generation, Thiago Silva remains Brazil's most capped central defender.

Joining AC Milan in 2009, he would take the field with Ronaldinho 51 times, before making the move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2012.

• Filippo Inzaghi (48)

A prolific centre forward with over 250 career goals, Filippo Inzaghi spent the final 11 years of his professional playing career playing for Milan.

Retiring at the club in 2012, Inzaghi was named manager of Milan's first team after the dismissal of his former Rossoneri teammate Clarence Seedorf in June 2014.

• Gennaro Gattuso (46)

A leading character in the Milan dressing room between 1999 and 2012, Gennaro Gattuso won two UEFA Champions League honours and two Serie A titles with the club.

While a famous clip exists of Ronaldinho audaciously nutmegging Gattuso when the Brazilian played for Barcelona, the two would join forces when he joined Milan in 2008.

• Luca Antonini (44)

One of few on this list who emerged through the Milan youth academy, Luca Antonini left the club in 2007 after struggling to become a mainstay in the XI.

He would return to Milan just a season later, carrying out a further five year spell at the club, three of which would be spent with Ronaldinho.
