After three-and-a-half years with Borussia Dortmund, Netherlands forward Donyell Malen has moved to Aston Villa.
Below are the team-mates he's played the most times with for the national side.
Establishing himself as Netherlands' first-choice right-back for the postponed Euros in 2021, Denzel Dumfries has made 49 appearances in the last four years, coinciding with Malen's breakthrough into the Dutch side.
Despite his serious knee injury late in 2020, Virgil van Dijk has worked his way back not just to full fitness but top form too, restoring his place as the Netherlands' first-choice centre-back, reaching double figures for appearances in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Although Georginio Wijnaldum's Dutch career is winding down, he was a regular when Malen made his breakthrough to the national side, playing 17 times between 2019 and 2020, and 15 times in 2021.
Still a regular fixture in the Netherlands squad 11 years after his debut, two of Memphis Depay's most prolific years with the national team coincided with Malen's, making 26 appearances across 2021 and 2024.
Now retired from international duty, Daley Blind was a key member of the Dutch Euro 2020 side, playing 14 times in 2021.
Now 27 years old with 55 caps to his name, Frenkie de Jong is one of the most experienced players in the Dutch squad, and made 16 appearances in 2021, but missed out on Euro 2024 following injury, making just one appearance for the national side last year.
One of the Netherlands' elder statesmen, Stefan de Vrij has found himself in and out of the Dutch team throughout his career, making 16 appearances in 2014, and 18 more across the next six years.
De Vrij re-established himself as a regular in 2021, making 12 appearances.
Although Wout Weghorst hasn't actually spent that much time on the pitch with Malen, his role as something of a super sub for the national side has seen them play together 19 times with Weghorst making a total of 39 appearances in the last four years, most off the bench.
Despite appearances for Ajax, Juventus and Bayern Munich, Matthijs de Ligt hasn't always found game time in an orange shirt easy to come by. Although he has 49 caps to his name, with 10 coming in 2018, 2019 and 2021, the Manchester United defender failed to make an appearance at Euro 2024.
Flitting in and out of the Dutch squad in the early years of his international career, Nathan Ake became a more regular fixture following his move to Manchester City. Being named in the Euro 2020 squad, it was 2022 when Ake became a key part of the side, making 30 appearances in the three years since.
