With his return to Real Madrid confirmed, we've taken a look at the players to have made the most appearances under Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has captivated football fans since he first announced himself as one of the world's leading managers during his time in his native Portugal with Porto.
After amassing a wealth of experience as an assistant coach under the likes of Sir Bobby Robson, Mourinho was quick to mould his own legacy in the dugout - defying the odds to win the UEFA Champions League in 2004.
From there he more than earned the moniker 'the Special One' which he coined for himself during three glittering seasons with Chelsea before going on to yet more success at Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Following a second stint in west London Mourinho took the reins at Manchester United and then had spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Roma, Fenerbahce and Benfica.
Throughout his more than two decades as a manager Mourinho has had some of the best players of the modern era at his disposal, but none have made as many appearances for him as Ricardo Carvalho.
Carvalho was part of Mourinho's all-conquering Porto side before later joining him at both Chelsea and Real Madrid for a total of 293 appearances.
But who joins him on the list? Read on to find out.
