After Lionel Messi announced his retirement from international football, we've taken a look at the players that played that most games alongside him for Argentina.
After 207 international caps, two Copa America titles and the 2022 World Cup, Messi announced this week that he would call time on his career with the Albiceleste.
More than two decades have passed since the legendary forward first represented his country at senior level and during that time he has shared with the pitch with some of the greatest players of the modern era.
Of all Messi's Argentina team-mates however, none have shared the pitch with the Inter Miami captain on more occasions than Angel Di Maria.
They first featured together during a World Cup qualifying clash between Argentina and Paraguay in 2008, with Messi starting up front before Di Maria was brought on as a second-half substitute.
The pair would go on to make a total of 113 international appearances together, with the final of those coming in the 2024 Copa America final as Argentina defeated Colombia in extra time.
Di Maria isn't the only player to have played more than 100 games for Argentina alongside arguably their greatest-ever player.
Both Javier Mascherano and Nicolas Otamendi have also done so, and the trio make up the top three in our list.
