bet365's boxing insider Rob Tebbutt delves into the heavyweight clash between the undefeated Moses Itauma and Demsey McKean in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and outlines where he feels the betting value lies.
Rob Tebbutt says...
Moses Itauma and Demsey McKean meet on the Usyk vs Fury 2 undercard, with Itauma looking to stake his claim as the next dominant force at heavyweight.
Itauma (1/16) has barely put a foot wrong since turning professional at the start of 2023, with the precocious 20-year-old blitzing his way to 10-0 (8 KOs) in thoroughly impressive fashion.
McKean (9/1) is thought to be an opponent who can give Itauma rounds. The Australian has only been defeated once as a professional, in a twelfth round stoppage loss to Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic, so the burly southpaw has mixed it in good company.
Despite that, I feel McKean’s inactivity since that Hrgovic fight, over a year ago, will contribute to his downfall against the fresh, fit and firing Itauma.
While billed as a step-up on paper, I feel this could go the same way as the majority of Itauma’s fights and we could see McKean out of there early.
