The Brisbane Broncos began the new NRL season with an 11-4 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs and coach Kevin Walters says they will get even better.
The Broncos aim to finish in the top eight of the NRL this season and got off to the perfect start against the Rabbitohs.
Gritty win
Pat Carrigan, Selwyn Cobbo and Billy Walters were among the star performers for the Broncos and the coach has the luxury of being able to hand new signing Adam Reynolds his debut next week.
It is a frightening prospect for the rest of the NRL and Walters has promised them there is much more to come from his side.

"Tough, gritty and I thought our defence was probably the best it's been since I've been here - that's the stuff you can really build a team around," Walters said.
"I'm not sure who was questioning it (Billy's selection) I knew that performance was in him, but knowing and doing that is two different things.
"It's nice sitting here after a victory knowing Adam Reynolds is going to drop back into the side next week."
Demetriou not impressed
Meanwhile Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou did not take too kindly to being quizzed about the absence of Reynolds who was allowed to join the Broncos at the end of last season.
"He's not there so there's no point me worrying about it," he said. "We needed to be a bit more patient but, I thought Broncos' last ditch defence was pretty good as well.
"He's (Elias) learning and will keep learning, but he defended really well. It's a work in progress; he's played his third NRL game and we have to hold the ball as well, not give away silly errors."
