Middlesbrough are reportedly exploring a loan move to sign Jack Clarke on loan from Ipswich Town.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported Boro's interest in the talented 25-year-old winger.
Clarke scored 16 goals last season as Ipswich returned to the Premier League at the first attempt.
However, he may find game time harder to come by this season following an influx of signings at Portman Road.
Clarke was named on the bench as Ipswich began life back in the Premier League with a home game against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
It was Clarke who would grab a 90th minute winner against his former club to seal a 2-1 victory for the Tractor Boys.
He will be hoping to stay in contention for a first-team spot but a potential loan move to Middlesbrough would almost guarantee first-team football.
Kim Hellberg's side are amongst the favourites to be promoted from the Championship this season and Clarke could join a list of eye-catching summer signings.
