Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in making a move for goalkeeper Radek Vitek from Manchester United.
The Czech stopper is currently in the United States with the Red Devils as part of the club's pre-season tour.
He started in goal as Michael Carrick's side recorded a 5-0 victory over Norwegian side Rosenborg on Friday.
However, he is likely to be down the pecking order when the new season arrives, with Karl Darlow arriving as back up for number one goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
Vitek is also behind Altay Bayindir in the list of United goalkeepers and the only question mark is whether he will leave permanently or on loan.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that Middlesbrough are exploring a move to sign the 22-year-old.
Vitek is believed to be open to a permanent switch away from the club, but it is also feasible that another loan move could be on the cards.
The former Czech youth international impressed on loan at Bristol City last season and he caught the eye of numerous clubs.
Vitek made 41 Championship appearances for the Robins in the 2025/26 campaign and his possible arrival on Teeside would be a huge boost to Kim Hellberg's promotion aspirations.
