With just a couple of weeks of the league phase remaining, Michael van Gerwen is in the top four, but he knows there is little room for error if he is to stay there.

He faces a real challenge on Thursday night, taking on world number one Luke Humphries in his beloved Leeds.

I genuinely feel this one is a toss of a coin - so to air on the side of caution I am taking the match to go 11 legs, and I also expect the two of them to chip in with a combined eight maximums over the full distance.

Both players, especially Luke, are very good on those 100 - 140 finishes, so the chances of a couple of them landing are pretty high, for me.
