Buckaroo and Vauban are currently vying for favouritism at the top of the Melbourne Cup market.
Willie Mullins-trained Vauban rose to prominence with Grade 1 wins at Cheltenham and Punchestown as a four-year-old but failed to kick on from there and was a well beaten favourite at the Melbourne Cup 12 months ago.
Fellow joint-favourite Buckaroo lost by a head when going off 11/2 at Flemington a month ago and Chris Waller will fancy his five-year-old's chances of going one better on Tuesday.
