Marc Guehi Transfer Odds

With a growing list of potential suitors we take a look at where Marc Guehi could be playing his football next season.

After playing a starring role in Crystal Palace's FA Cup victory, Marc Guehi's stock has never been higher.

Since his move to Selhurst Park in 2021 the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

In February it was widely reported that Tottenham had a £70m bid rejected in an attempt to lure him to North London, but it's now Liverpool who look most likely to add Guehi to their defensive department.

bet365’s Steve Freeth said: "The departure of Jarell Quansah has left a hole in the Liverpool defence and we believe Marc Guehi is a strong candidate to fill the gap.

"He's tasted success at Crystal Palace and looks ready to step up in class, while the Eagles may be inclined to cash in on their FA Cup winning skipper, especially with just a year left on his contract."

Liverpool

Having internally admired the central defender for a number of years, Liverpool's opportunistic approach could see them land Guehi with Quansah set to depart.

Having rejected bids believed to be in excess of £70m last summer, Crystal Palace could soften their stance with a year remaining on the defender's deal.

Guehi would likely be introduced to compete with Ibrahima Konate for a spot next to Virgil van Dijk, though Frenchman Konate has just a year left on his contract and Guehi could be viewed as the ideal successor.

Chelsea

A product of the famous Chelsea academy - Guehi experienced huge success at Cobham - winning a treble with the U18s in 2017.

He went on to make two senior appearances for his boyhood club before a very fruitful loan spell at Swansea.

His time in Wales was the springboard for an £18m move to Crystal Palace and after showing incredible form, Chelsea will be expected to pay around four times that amount should they want to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

Fortunately for the Blues, they aren't exactly strapped for cash and with UEFA Champions League football secured for 2025/26 they can offer Guehi the opportunity to play on the biggest stage.

Newcastle

Interest from Tyneside is well documented with Newcastle reportedly having as many as three bids for Guehi rejected last summer.

Much like Chelsea, Newcastle have UEFA Champions League football to bring to negotiations and should be able to cough up the lofty fee that Palace will command.

With club captain Jamaal Lascelles expected to leave this summer and Fabian Schar not getting any younger, Eddie Howe will be looking to bring defensive reinforcements with Guehi looking a likely option.

Tottenham

It wouldn't be too often that a player of Guehi's ability would be tempted to join a team that's just finished 17th in the division but - like Chelsea and Newcastle - Tottenham can offer the chance to play in the UEFA Champions League.

Their UEFA Europa League final win against Manchester United has seemingly opened up transfer plans in North London and Spurs are certain to be in the market for a centre back.

Cristian Romero is expected to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer and having already shown an interest in Guehi, they are likely to look his way as a replacement.
