Manchester United 'set to debut new home shirt against Nottingham Forest'

Manchester United are set to debut next season's home shirt when they play host to Nottingham Forest on 17 May, according to reports.

Michael Carrick's side have enjoyed a impressive second half to the campaign, and sealed their place in next season's UEFA Champions League with victory over Liverpool on Sunday.

The game was the first time in a decade that United had completed a league double over their rivals and will also reportedly mark another milestone.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the 3-2 win will mark the final time the club's 2025/26 home shirt will be worn in a competitive fixture at Old Trafford.

In a move previously adopted by Arsenal among others, United will don next season's shirt prior to the end of the campaign in a move viewed as a way to build anticipation for the retail release.

Manufactured by adidas and featuring Snapdragon as the main shirt sponsor for the fourth successive season, the new shirt will differ from its predecessor with the three stripes displayed prominently in white on the shoulders and featuring a retro-style collar.

The new home kit will be worn for the first time when Nottingham Forest travel to Old Trafford next weekend, and will again be donned in United's final game of the season away at Brighton on 24 May.

United's 25/26 shirt is currently on sale on the club's website, with fans able to purchase the short-sleeved replica version for £35, and the equivalent 'authentic' version for £60.
