The inaugural league phase draw of the UEFA Champions League has seen 2022 winners Manchester City drawn against Inter and Paris Saint-Germain.
While the French side should present the toughest challenge, City's only target will be to ensure they finish in the top eight, and with games against Club Brugge, Sparta Prague and Slovan Bratislava, Pep Guardiola can be confident of just that.
City made extremely light work of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League in its old format under Guardiola, topping their group every season after the Spaniard's maiden campaign, winning 32 games, drawing six and losing four, taking an average of 2.43 points per game for six years.
This season's fixture list poses a different question, but the ties against the competition's weaker sides should still give Guardiola the option of rotating his squad throughout the league phase.
