Manchester City are clear 13/8 favourites to win the Champions League for the first time after the last 16 draw was made on Monday.
Pep Guardiola’s side cruised through the group stage, and while they’d have preferred to avoid Paris Saint-Germain, there weren’t really any other opponents they could’ve faced who would have worried them.
Manchester City’s position at the top of the Champions League betting has been strengthened even further after being paired with Leipzig, but we wouldn’t begrudge them the trophy having benefitted from numerous failures over the years.
Though they’ve been bolstered by four of the tournament favourites drawing each other in the last 16, with Liverpool paying the price for finishing second in their group, being drawn against Real Madrid, and PSG being similarly punished with a tie against Bayern Munich.
Two of those clubs will be absent from the quarter-final draw, while one of Benfica and Club Brugge will be in attendance, who the big hitters you dare say would be keen to face.
