Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes's agent seen in Saudi Arabia

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes's agent Miguel Pinho has been reportedly spotted in Saudi Arabia to discuss a potential move.

The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that Pinho met with Al-Hilal officials in Riyadh and have given Fernandes 72 hours to make a decision, offering Manchester United £100m - double any fee the club could expect to receive from a European club, and Fernandes would also receive a bumper pay rise.

The United skipper is thought to be on around £300,000 a week at Old Trafford, but Al-Hilal are believed to be offering around £700,000 a week after tax.

Fernandes has made no desire to leave the Premier League, but has said he would leave if the club wanted to sell, and considering the club's financial position, they may be open to a deal.

"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it is what it is," said Fernandes in the aftermath of the Europa League final.

"And football sometimes is like this. I have always been honest. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go. I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days.

"In the day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way."

While Fernandes is almost impossible to replace, the 30-year-old, who turns 31 shortly after the start of next season, has another two years on his contract and this is likely the final chance for the club to cash in.

Fernandes was convinced to sign a new deal last year amid interest from Europe with Bayern Munich believed to be considering making a move under the promise that the squad would be significantly strengthened as the club looked to challenge for trophies.

While United spent significant funds, the squad is still in need of a significant rebuild with the 20-time English champions likely years away from challenging for major honours.
