Mahler Mission is priced at 12/1 to give trainer John McConnell his first success in the Grand National.
McConnell's first Grand National contender Mahler Mission has been rested since finishing second in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury in December.
The eight-year-old has four career wins to his name, including a Grade Two success in the Albert Bartlett River Don Novices' Hurdle at Doncaster in January 2022, and has stamina in abundance.
Ben Harvey will be on board Mahler Mission and the pair have a fruitful partnership, with a record of 1222 on their four outings together.
On Mahler Mission's entry, McConnell said: “I’m very excited to be going there with a horse with a chance. I didn’t expect him to be so high. I thought there would be more high-quality horses entered.
“The owners are leaving it up to me but you’re kind of limited where you can go with a guy with his rating anyway.
“At the minute he’s still a little bit short of Gold Cup class so you have to go for one of the big, big handicaps and the way he jumps, he looks like Aintree should suit him."
