Luton Relegation Odds and Latest Relegation News - Luton 4/7 to be relegated after dropping into relegation zone

Promoted to the top flight for the first time since winning the old Second Division in 1982, Luton Town are currently 4/7 to suffer an immediate return to the second tier.

Everton's 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday was enough to elevate the Toffees up and above Luton on Saturday, although the Hatters do now have a game in hand.

Rob Edwards' side were heavily backed to make an immediate return to the Championship this season, but they have flexed their muscle in the top-flight and have given themselves a fighting chance of survival.

They led Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield last time out before the Reds turned things around in the second half, but still, Luton will be hopeful of ending the campaign above the drop zone.

Have Luton Town ever been relegated before?

Luton have never been relegated from the Premier League as this is their first season operating in the top flight since the formation of the league in 1992/93.

The Hatters are riding the crest of several promotions in a short space of time; since 2013 they have achieved promotion four times, including back-to-back promotions from League Two and League One.

The club were relegated from the old First Division in the 1991-92 season, one year before the creation of the Premier League.
