Luke Littler has been crowned Premier League Darts champion for a second time following his thrilling 11-10 final victory over rival Luke Humphries.
The standard throughout the final was world class, as the two best players in darts traded legs with ferocity, before Littler pipped Humphries to the post in the final leg.
19-year-old world number one Littler cast an emotional figure after picking up the trophy, as both men showed respect to each other following the epic 21-leg showdown at the O2 in London.
The numbers the two Lukes put up on the night were bordering on the outrageous, Littler averaged 111.67 throughout the match, whilst also scoring 12 180s.
Despite his dominance in the statistics, the Nuke actually only led in two legs throughout the contest, as 'Cool Hand' Humphries continued to evade the world number one, taking an impressive 3 100+ checkouts.
Littler almost landed a nine dart finish in the 19th leg, hitting two 180s before missing his T17, however the world number one refocused immediately and found a T8, which set up a 10-dart leg.
In one of the best finals nights in recent years all of the three matches went to the final leg, and although Littler was the favourite going into the contest, his win at the O2 is one of his most gruelling to date.
The 19-year-old has endured an emotional campaign in the Premier League this year. An on-stage spat with Gian van Veen followed an earlier highly publicised back-and-forth with the Ally Pally crowd in the World Championship, and the Nuke has often been booed on the tour this year.
It is hardly surprising therefore that the emotions came flooding out of Littler after his epic 11-10 Premier League title win, with the youngster unable to complete his media interviews afterwards, where he was consoled admirably by the beaten Humphries.
Up next for Littler and Humphries is the World Cup of Darts, where the powerhouse duo will team up to represent England in Frankfurt next month.
The two Lukes are 4/9 heavy favourites to win in the tournament; hardly surprising given the level of performance display by the pair this evening.
