Luke Littler's unbeaten run at PDC majors is finally over after he was beaten 10-4 by Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Series of Darts Finals.
The back-to-back world champion had come through a last-leg decider to beat Nathan Aspinall 10-9 in the second round on Saturday evening.
Littler was far from his fluent best against Clayton on Sunday afternoon but he still averaged a respectable 95.85 in a resounding defeat.
Clayton will meet fellow Welshman Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals, while Ross Smith will take on Gian van Veen in the other last-four clash.
Littler had been attempting to achieve a remarkable feat of winning every PDC major in 2026.
The world number one has won the World Championship, Masters, UK Open, Premier League and World Matchplay, but his hopes of a clean sweep were ended in Amsterdam.
Littler's defeat was his first for an astonishing 335 days when he lost to James Wade at the European Championship last October.
The 19-year-old will now be looking to pick himself up ahead of the start of the World Grand Prix at the end of the month.
